Cashier
This is a part-time, less than 35-hours-per-week position responsible for operating the cash register, assisting customers with purchases, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. Cashiers will be available to work during all operating hours including evenings and weekends. This position will earn $7.50 hourly, paid on a bi-weekly basis. No additional benefits are offered.

Operations Management
Operate the cash register accurately, process payments, and handle transactions according to store procedures.
Bag groceries efficiently and carefully, ensuring items are handled with care.
Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked checkout area throughout each shift.
Follow all safety, sanitation, and cash-handling policies.
Assist with restocking front-end displays, cleaning workstations, and other assigned duties.
Customer & Community Relations
Provide friendly, attentive service to every customer, making each interaction welcoming and personal.
Answer basic questions about products, prices, and store policies; refer complex issues to the Grocery Manager as needed.
Thank customers sincerely and invite them to return, reinforcing the store’s hometown spirit.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
Handle cash, credit, and check transactions accurately and responsibly.
Count tills at the start and end of shifts under the direction of the Grocery Manager.
Follow procedures for handling coupons, discounts, and refunds to ensure accuracy and fairness.
Employee Development
Participate in on-the-job training to learn store procedures, customer service expectations, and point-of-sale operations.
Ask questions, seek feedback, and strive to improve accuracy, efficiency, and hospitality.
Take pride in contributing to a friendly, community-driven environment.
